Infrared saunas and health

In fact, an infrared sauna is not a sauna, it works on a different principle. In a classic sauna, the air is heated by a heat source, for example by hot steam. An infrared sauna uses infrared rays.

In a classic sauna, you just sweat for the sake of it because the heat works on the top of your skin. However, infrared radiation passes through the entire body and sweat is only an accompanying phenomenon. It overheats the body from the inside, which has a number of beneficial effects. It penetrates deep into the tissue, supports blood circulation, metabolism and burning of calories.

Infrared saunas work on a completely different principle than classic Finnish saunas. They create infrared rays, which are important for the human body. The safety and harmlessness of infrared rays is also evidenced by the fact that this principle is also used in baby incubators.

The purpose of the infrared sauna is to overheat the human body to a depth of 4 cm, which benefits the blood circulation of individual parts and stimulates sweating, during which unwanted substances are washed away from the body. Sauna bathing in the infrared sauna is suitable for general relaxation after a hard day's exertion and also for the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis or post-traumatic conditions. At lower temperatures, which can be set at will, the beneficial effects of the infrared sauna can also be enjoyed by cardiac or asthma sufferers.
